Start-Up Chile Opens Call for Next Generation of Companies

Corfo program Start-Up Chile has officially commenced the search for its next batch of startups. It is seeking out 100 companies from all over the globe to bring to Chile in order to accelerate their projects.

Now through June 27th, Start-Up Chile will accept applications from entrepreneurs hoping to join its eighth generation. Over 670 startups from 50 countries have taken part in the program since its 2010 launch.

Start-Up Chile will find, fund and host up to 100 early-stage startups in its eighth acceleration program. Selected entrepreneurs will receive US$40,000 and a year-long work visa, and they will also gain access to the organization’s international network.

The program is open to people of all nationalities, including, of course, Chileans. It values talented teams and high-potential products and services.

Want to become part of the Start-Up Chile family? Apply on the Start-Up Chile website. Potential participants are advised to take a good look at the terms and conditions of the program as well as the sample application form before registering.  Note that the selection process was modified in the organization’s last call for startups.

So there you have it. You’ve got until Thursday, June 27th to sign up. The selected startups will be announced on August 29th.
