Come the 19th and 20th of June, Brazil’s digital community will gather for the second edition of eShow São Paulo.
eShow is an international event with editions in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and São Paulo. It features content on e-commerce, online marketing, hosting, cloud computing, social media, mobile and digital signage and celebrates the most innovative products, solutions, services and strategies in the market. Attendees take advantage of networking opportunities as well as the chance to pick up inside information on industry developments and trends.
What Makes it Relevant?
It’s no secret that Brazil is one of the world’s most promising markets for e-commerce, a major focus of the eShow event.
Brazil represents 70% of Latin America’s e-commerce business, with online sales reaching US$12 billion in 2012 – up 29% from 2011. As the country’s middle class continues to grow, meaning more access to capital, technology and bank options, e-commerce is expected to expand as well.
Mobile commerce is on the rise, too, especially as mobile penetration rates improve. However, it’s got a long way to go, with just 3% of e-commerce purchases in Latin America taking place on mobile devices.
What to Expect
eShow will focus on all things digital in Brazil, Latin America and around the globe. It will focus on trends big and small – like, for example, the rise of television sales online due to the upcoming 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup. Attendees, speakers and discussion panel participants will also explore issues related to design, logistics, marketing, sales and payments.
Numerous businesses active in the digital space will be featured in the eShow São Paulo exhibition space. Moreover, attendees will be able to access several parallel activities organized within the context of the main conference, from workshops to networking sessions, discussion forums and debates.
Of course, one of the main attractions of eShow São Paulo will be the speakers slated to address the event audience. Among those slated to present are Ricardo Alonso of Falabella, Flavio Diaz of Walmart Brazil and Flavio Pripas of Fasion.me.
And finally, attendees won’t want to miss out on the eAwards Braspag 2013, which will honor Brazil’s top online players in a parallel event on the evening of the 19th.
Participate: The Clock is Ticking
Ten lucky startups will also have a chance to participate in the conference with an investor forum and pitch session. Project applications are actually close at midnight tonight – if you’re interested, you can find out more and register here.
And as mentioned, eShow São Paulo will take place on the 19th and 20th of June at the Transamerica Expo Center. Inscriptions to attend will close this Friday, June 7th, so pick up your ticket now.
