Anpei, the Brazilian association dedicated to research and development in innovative businesses, will host its eighth annual conference on technological innovation next month. Under the theme Competitive and Open Innovation: Transforming Brazil, the event will take place in the city of Vitória from the 3rd to the 5th of June.
The conference will focus on combining physical and digital networks, examining ways to innovate and collaborate in the virtual realm. It will address issues relevant to Brazil’s current reality, including the government’s role in creating policies that help and, unfortunately, sometimes hinder innovation and advancement in the country. Conference organizers hope to emphasize the urgency of Brazil’s competitiveness in triumphing on the global stage.
Discussion panels and presentations on various related topics will be featured throughout the three-day Anpei gathering. Public and business perspectives of innovation, integrated strategy and open innovation are among the issues to be addressed. Various case studies are slated for presentation as well.
The event will feature the input of la crème de la crème of Brazil’s innovation ecosystem, including top executives from entities such as Natura and Fibria as well as representatives of organizations like FINEP and Sebrae.
Chris Anderson will serve as the event’s keynote speaker and is slated to speak on June 4th. Currently the CEO of 3D Robotics, Anderson is the former Editor-in-Chief of Wired. He also authored The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More.
The VIII Anpei Conference will take place from Monday, June 3rd to Wednesday, June 5th in Vitória, Espírito Santo. Learn more about the location here.
