New website. New hires. These are among the updates coming out of Brazil-based 55social this week.
The company, which specializes in social media marketing, launched a new website on Tuesday – www.55social.com. With this new space, 55social can now better connect with potential and existing clients, outlining its services, technologies and philosophies to provide a complete view of its value proposition.
55social has also brought two experienced professionals on to its growing team. Rafaela Manzo, a journalist with 12 years of experience in corporate communications, will join 55social as the company’s Director of Marketing. Marco Terenzi, an Italian native with a background in business administration and corporate finance, will now act as 55social’s CFO.
Founded in 2011 by Emilio Maciel, 55social has become a significant force to reckon with in social media marketing in Brazil. The company has developed a set of software and services, highlighted in its SPro platform, to help companies reach millions of consumers via social media.
Its portfolio includes 150 clients from a wide range of markets and sectors, including SulAmérica, SBT, Ingresso Rápido, ESPM, Jacques Janine, Danubio, Climatempo and RiHappy. 55social employs 90 professionals in São Paulo and Buenos Aires.
55social has also been quite successful in the investment realm, having received backing from Redpoint Ventures and IG Expansion in the past. It has also received funding from Redpoint e.ventures, which selected the company for its second Brazilian investment last November.
