HFPX Participações has selected Joinville-based ProveAgora.com as its latest strategic participation investment. It will provide the company with seed capital as well as networking, consulting and other support.
Founded by publicist João Marcos and journalist Denise Suzuki, ProveAgora.com is a virtual mall that allows customers to try on items such as clothes and shoes from top brands before they buy.
Consumers register on the site, input their credit card information and select the products they want to try. The items are then delivered to the customer’s home, and if he or she decides to keep them, the transaction is completed. Otherwise, the customer may choose to send the items back, free of charge.

“Today, e-commerce is an indisputably important channel, and no brand can ignore it. With ProveAgora.com, the retailer is able to explore this new type of business, joining forces with local physical stores. With this startup, the greatest benefit is for consumers, who can try on clothes in the comfort of their own homes, take their time, and even share buying decisions with their families,” said Hugo Cordeiro, CEO of HFPX.
ProveAgora.com joins HFPX’s growing investment portfolio, which also includes wedding planning platform MeCasar, online delivery service Foome, e-procurement system Área Central, gift card enterprise Giver and beer aficionado network Beercrew.
