With 10 years of operations under its belt, Brazilian e-commerce platform KaBuM! continues to prosper. The country’s leading e-commerce company focused on IT products, electronics and musical instruments now offers over 15,000 products through its online store.
KaBuM! was founded by brothers Leandro and Thiago Ramos in 2003. Since that time, it has served more than 1.3 million customers and 50,000 businesses throughout Brazil, and its platform is among the 150 most-visited websites in Brazil.
For the past six years, the company has grown at an average annual rate of 100%, with revenues increasing 120% between 2010 and 2011. This year, the KaBuM! team hopes to reach the 17,000-product mark to up sales by 75%.
“Over the past 10 years, we have made many investments in our distribution centers in São Paulo and in logistics that give us ease and speed in delivery in order to guarantee not only quality service but the best purchasing experience possible for our customers,” noted Thiago Ramos. Notably, over half of the company’s sales come from customers who have purchased on the site at least once before.
Though all signs point to good things ahead, the KaBuM! team will definitely have to work hard to outdo itself this year. In 2012, the company was honored by e-bit for excellence as a top B2C e-commerce business in the electronics category.
