TransUnion is a provider of credit information and information management services. Its solutions are used by over 45,000 clients, rendering it the third-largest credit bureau in the United States.
With the acquisition of ZipCode, TransUnion will access new tools and analytical capabilities for making business decisions and succeeding in the Brazilian market. It will leverage the value of ZipCode’s wide array of existing solutions in direct marketing, credit, billing and fraud and help companies to increase efficiency, manage risks, reduce costs and drive in revenue.
“We are very honored to bring on ZipCode in TransUnion’s continued expansion in Brazil,” said Maria Olga Rehbein, President of TransUnion Latin America. “The data assets and capabilities of ZipCode, combined with the decision platform Crivo TransUnion and the global expertise of TransUnion, will create new solutions to meet the demands of marketing and risk management of Brazilian companies.”
As Rehbein alluded, this is not TransUnion’s first deal in Brazil. It acquired Brazilian decision-making and analytics firm Crivo in January of last year. This latest acquisition of ZipCode, like that of Crivo, is part of a larger strategy for growth.
The details of the ZipCode acquisition have not been revealed. However, the deal is expected to be closed by the end of the first quarter of the year.
