Aceleratech has revealed the 11 startups that will form part of its inaugural acceleration class. Based in São Paulo, Aceleratech was founded by Mike Ajnsztajn and is backed by ESPM. It is one of the newest players go join Brazil’s tech acceleration game.
We first learned about Aceleratech and the details of its five-pronged program last year. When we were in touch with Ajnsztajn before the accelerator’s official November launch, he gave us some insight into what he’d be seeking out in the companies he selected, signaling great entrepreneurs and revenue-generating business models as key points.
First Call for Startups a Success
According to Aceleratech, nearly 300 companies applied to be part of its first acceleration process. The majority of applications came from São Paulo (75%), and startups from Chile, Argentina and Portugal also registered. The most common business models Aceleratech witnessed were those related to e-commerce and B2B solutions.
“We were very happy with the results of inscriptions. This is proof of the innovation of our model and how much we still have to contribute to the growth of the ecosystem. The companies we selected are open to learning and evolving, and that’s what motivates us moving forward,” Ajnsztajn remarked.

Bike 3D: A creator of instructional 2D and 3D videos for indoor cycling and spinning.
Brasil by Bus: A website where travelers can plan and purchase their bus trips online. It currently includes over 3,000 destinations and 30 bus companies in Brazil.
Convenia: A platform where companies can find sector-specific corporate agreements and contracts. It helps businesses offer employees a complete benefits package that motivates and retains talent.
CargoBR: A marketplace where businesses can find logistics solutions in their areas.
Gbolso: A personal finance management solution that helps users with budget planning and reaching their financial goals.
mobb: An event-focused group messaging app that features a confirmation system, messaging capabilities, location sharing and other tools.
PhotoDress – PhD: A tool through which dresses and shirts become ways for photography and artwork to hit the streets. Artists and photographers collaborate with images and earn royalties for sales.
Pontosec: A provider of internet security solutions.
Timolico: A digital platform where users can customize and buy products online. The company seeks to redefine the concept of exclusivity.
VaiVolta: A marketplace specialized in leasing through which companies can advertise their products and services.
Wiki4Fit: An intelligent entertainment system for gyms.
