#PS10: Just Two Days Left to Apply!

Calling all Latin American entrepreneurs! You’ve got just two days – that’s right, two days – left to register your startup to be considered for this year’s PS10. The deadline for applications to be named one of Latin America’s top 10 startups is this Friday, February 1st.

The PS10 (also known as the PulsoSocial10) is a list we compile annually of the top startups in Latin America. The contest is open to early-stage startups throughout the region with high-potential, technology-based products.

Last year, Brazilian startup Everwrite came out on top. Check out the full results of past editions (20082009 and 2011).

The winner of this year’s PS10 will receive a trip to New York City in March. There, two members of the winning startup’s team will meet with some of Latin America’s top investors.

What We’re Looking For

Applying companies must:

– be based in Latin America,

– have been in business for under three years, and

– possess a scalable and high-impact product with a realistic way to expand internationally, generate value or create jobs.

The selection process will last approximately six weeks, and startups will be evaluated based on three main criteria: entrepreneurial vision, business projection and technological innovation.

The Judges: Who’s Who

Applications will be evaluated by a panel of judges with deep knowledge and experience in technology, startups and entrepreneurship in Latin America:

Gonzalo Costa, Founding Partner of NXTP Labs with extensive experience in private equity, venture capital and angel investment.

Andrés Martínez, Developer Program Manager at Telefonica Digital with a degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Madrid.
