On Friday, January 11th, 2013, AppCircus will take place in São Paulo, Brazil. This time around, the world-renowned event will have a special focus: Microsoft.
AppCircus São Paulo will bring together top Microsoft developers from Brazil and Latin America. Not only will attendees have the opportunity to present their applications and compete, but they will also be invited to attend workshops and receive training on building for the Microsoft platform.
On the competition end of things, entrepreneurs and developers will pitch their apps live to fellow attendees as well as a panel of judges. At the end of the day, the winning app will be chosen and, moving forward, have a chance at becoming one of the 20 finalists to compete at the Mobile Premier Awards in February.
Given that Brazil currently leads the South American mobile apps market, there is little room for doubt that the competition will be nothing short of intensely fierce. Carles Ferreiro, CEO of AppCircus, expressed enthusiasm for what’s to come, “This event gives us the chance to check out the potential of Windows 8 as a mobile app development platform and see some of the great ideas coming out of Brazil at the moment.”
