Today, the five finalists of this past weekend’s HackDay pitched their hackathon projects at the AVCC. After last weekend’s work, they took the week to refine their products and today showed off the results.
Here’s who pitched:
NFC Games, a maker of figurines powered by NFC chips that communicate wirelessly with mobile devices to activate games and place the characters represented by each figure in those games.
Chorus, a music and audio app that connects users through their local networks.
Introduced.co, a real-time LinkedIn for events that connects people through their mobile devices and tracks social media activity at conferences.
PriceMagic, a dynamic pricing engine and cloud-based software for digital retailers to maximize revenues.
AsMeOut, a matchmaking platform through which users can spark romantic connections with people they already know.
And the winner is …
The HackDay winner was awarded a US$30,000 prize and will be given the opportunity to receive another US$20,000 as well as other support as part of the 90-day HackDay Acceleration Program.
Introduced.co was named the runner-up. The enterprise will receive one year of free co-working space at the LAB Miami and a ticket to the next 500 Startups event from .CO.
