Endeavor Global and Endeavor Brazil have reached an agreement for a three-year partnership with enterprise software corporation SAP. This comes as part of SAP’s emerging entrepreneurs initiative, a plan to drive forward entrepreneurship in young professionals in developed and emerging markets.
Through the agreement, SAP employees will act as mentors for Endeavor entrepreneurs around the world. The company will also actively participate in Endeavor’s network of investors and back Endeavor initiatives such as design thinking workshops. Endeavor Brazil will reap the most benefits from the deal, as SAP will choose 50 Endeavor entrepreneurs to receive special mentorship and support. Those entrepreneurs will also receive a growth grant and technology donations.
Monitoring Entrepreneurship in Brazil’s Leading Cities
Together, SAP and Endeavor Brazil will track and monitor Brazil’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. They plan to launch an entrepreneurship platform and showcase entrepreneurial progress in Brazil’s leading cities, commencing with Rio de Janeiro in January 2013.
Regarding the partnership, Rodrigo Teles, Managing Director of Endeavor Brazil, remarked, “There are 4 million registered companies in Brazil, of which 30,000 are high-growth and responsible for 57 percent of jobs in Brazil. Today, Endeavor Brazil supports 56 companies in Brazil. The partnership with SAP will catalyze Endeavor Brazil’s network of high-impact entrepreneurs by helping more high-growth companies access capital and mentors, creating a new generation of successful entrepreneurs.”
This deal has come about as part of SAP’s long-term commitment to entrepreneurship and belief in the “power of small” – the value of entrepreneurs and small businesses in innovation, job creation and technology.
