Start-Up Chile Week kicks off today. The celebration will take place over several days and bring together the Start-Up Chile community through a wide range of events, workshops, presentations and more. Among the highlights of the event will be today’s VIP Demo Day, tomorrow’s open Demo Day, and the announcement of the program’s sixth class of startups.

Start-Up Chile Week will take place in tandem with Common Pitch Chile, a three-day conference that will commence tomorrow. Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore is slated to attend and speak at the event, as is Charly Alberti, Founder of R21 who is best known as the founder and drummer of Latin American rock band Soda Stereo. And, of course, a competition for startups will be in the mix as well.
