Google Developers: DevFest Headed to São Paulo on Friday

São Paulo developers, take note: DevFest is on the way. The event, designed by and for Google developers, will take place this Friday at FIAP.

Organized by Google Developer Groups (GDGs) around the world, DevFests are forums for developers to gather, learn, pick up new skills and network. Each event held is tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of the local community in which it is slated to take place, featuring hackathons, code labs, presentations, workshops and more.

On the Menu: Tech, Apps and Entrepreneurship

This Friday’s DevFest Brazil will focus on five main themes: Android, the cloud, HTML 5/Chrome, Google APIs and startups. The event has been organized as a replacement for Google Developer Day, which did not take place this year in Brazil.

Activities will be organized in five separate spaces and the main auditorium throughout the day. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend sessions on a wide range of topics within the five main categories covered, from monetization to gaming, sales, integration, mobile and more.

Developers won’t want to miss the YouTube API code lab during the afternoon, which will be hosted by Jeremy Walker, Developer Advocate at Google. And, of course, everyone will want to stick around for prize drawings at the end of the day.

Tickets for DevFest Brazil will remain on sale until Thursday. Pick up yours here, or visit www.devfest.com.br for more information.
