Kinetik, the social platform that connects the app community, has announced the launch and release of Kinetik 2.0. This comes as part of the company’s continued efforts to connect iPhone and iPad users with the apps they want and need.
Kinetik allows users to browse apps by features, trends and categories as well as names and hash tags. Users may also seek out user recommendations and number of shares. From there, individuals can view price information as well as screenshots and reviews of the apps that interest them.
Kinetik has been responsible for the take-off of a number of apps, including the music-related Adium App. Moreover, it is a Red Innova finalist.
Raúl Moreno, CEO of Idear Labs, the company behind Kinetik, spoke with us about the latest version of the application. He told us that with its version 2.0, Kinetik has added a press area that allows users to view apps that have generated media buzz. A new rewards system has also been put in place, awarding a US$15 iTunes Gift Card to users who invite five friends to register with Kinetik.
With these updates and others, Kinetik will continue on its way to rendering the app-purchasing experience more social, personalized and user-friendly. In turn, Moreno hopes that the application will double its current base of 25,000 users within the next three weeks.
