Thanks to a new acquisition, Brazilian software licensing company Compusoftware has 100 new clients on its hands. According to several Brazilian news outlets, the company has purchased itBrain, a Brazil-based IT services provider. The financial details of the deal have not been revealed.
Founded in 1992, Compusoftware boasts partnerships with the world’s top software manufacturers, including Microsoft, Autodesk, CA, Adobe, Symantec and Corel. It serves 70% of the 500 biggest companies in Brazil and stands to bring in US$80 million (R$160 million) in revenues in 2013 – over 10% of that amount coming as a result of the itBrain deal.
With this acquisition, Compusoftware will now offer a more complete package of solutions. It will be able to provide clients consulting, installation and support for Microsoft solutions as well as new services to promote the culture of technology internally.
“We will use the expertise of both companies to offer intelligent IT services. We are focused on ensuring that our clients achieve excellent levels of technological maturity and work with solutions that are always adequate and up-to-date,” remarked Adhemar Silva, Director of Services at Compusoftware.
The itBrain purchase comes as part of Compusoftware’s strategy to further cement its position as a leader in IT consulting in the Brazilian market. Moving forward, it will concentrate its efforts on large industry and retail enterprises in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and the Federal District.
