Developer Dashboard Appies Receives Seed Round Investment from Trindade

Developer dashboard Appies has announced its first seed round investment, funds being injected by Trindade Investimentos, a Brazil-based investment firm focused on the technology sector.

Appies is a business dashboard designed to support developers for different platforms (APPs and APIs) from around the world. It provides developers with business-related tools that they often ignore or can’t access.

Via its online platform, Appies offers services related to business intelligence, opportunities, co-working spaces, hackathons and more. It is a business-savvy force in the geek economy where developers, while creatively excellent, often lack in marketing, accounting and other related skills.

Google Dashboard for Developers

Appies was founded by Brazilian serial entrepreneur Bob Wollheim and ex-Buscapé-developer Dirceu Pauka Jr. A bit of a startup – accelerator hybrid, it was created with the aim of becoming the Google Dashboard of development.

Interestingly, the Appies team is not concentrating on Silicon Valley but instead on working with developers from and economies like India, Russia, China and Brazil. As the mobile and web apps industry grows in such areas, Appies is seeking to expand with it.

Appies will be launching its Beta version within the next few months. Keep a lookout for more updates on the Brazilian company, as we’ll be featuring an interview with Wollheim soon.
