Eventioz, an online event organization software, has landed in one of Latin America’s hottest markets. Backed by a US$1.5 million investment from Kaszek Ventures, the Argentina-born startup has commenced operations in Brazil.

With a system that simplifies the process of publishing, managing, promoting and selling events, Eventioz is, by and large, a one-stop-shop for all types of gatherings. Through its entirely online platform, promoters and organizers are able to manage the entire event cycle, from website creation to marketing, ticketing and follow-up.

Pablo Aquistapace, CEO of Eventioz, outlined the company’s proposal:

Eventioz integrates all of the small steps involved in executing an event on a single, online, self-taught platform where organizers can manage the entire process, integrating everything with social networks.

Eventioz has been operating in Argentina for four years and is also active in Chile and Mexico. Its portfolio includes clients like Reebok, Endeavor, McDonald’s, Telefonica and Decolar.com.

With a base of 10 million event organizers, who have used its platform to organize 18,000 events, Eventioz is poised to lead the region in its sector. It anticipates US$1.5 million in revenues in 2013, 30% of which is expected to come from Brazil, where the event market is booming.

According to data published by the Brazilian Association of Event Companies (ABEOC Brasil), Brazil’s event sector increased revenues by 23.3% in 2012. The São Paulo Convention & Visitors Bureau estimates that an event is hosted every six minutes in São Paulo alone, generating revenues of nearly three billion reals each year and receiving over four million people – 45,000 of which are from abroad.

The Eventioz platform is already being used in Brazil to manage things like courses, seminars and races. The startup is now looking to spread the word to local event organizers about all it has to offer – payment support, waitlist management options, promotional package features and more.

Though it’s just getting started in Brazil, Eventioz is already looking towards other markets. It plans to launch operations in Colombia and Peru in the second semester of this year.
