Social Travel Platform Minube Launches New and Improved Android App

minube

Spain-based minube has been a favorite of the 2.0 traveler for quite some time now, especially those who speak Spanish.

An online social travel platform, minube invites users to get inspired, plan their trips, compare prices and purchase tickets. Since its 2007 launch, it has grown a community of over 500,000 travelers from all over the world and boasts operations in several international locales, including Mexico and Brazil in Latin America.

Of course, minube hasn’t just kept to the web – it’s delved into the apps market as well. To date, its mobile products have received over one million downloads. And now, minube is launching a new and improved application for Android.

The new minube Android app gives users access to over 250,000 places and more than 850,000 photos, the aim being to provide the best travel tips for any city or destination. Its reviews help travelers determine where to go and what to do while at the same time leading to the discovery of more untraditional sites and activities.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the updated minube app is the Inspiration Screen, a feature through which users receive suggestions based on criteria such as mood, distance, type of trip or favorite color. Users can also enjoy a simplified process for sharing as well as swipe-only interface functions.

On the social end of things, the app will help users connect with fellow travelers – even those who speak other languages. And they can also create lists to share with family, friends or the entire minube community.

Minube is a major player in the online travel sector – one that we’ve been following for quite some time. What is perhaps most interesting about the company is its diversified approach. Not only does minube boast an internationally-renowned online platform and apps for Android, iOS and Windows, but it has also created minube.tv, an online channel for travel videos.
