Five Latin American Enterprises Make the Latest 500 Startups Cut

This week, 500 Startups revealed the 33 startups that will make up its latest class. Describing the startups as international, diverse and awesome, the organization is clearly excited about what’s to come.

The 500 Startups team selected enterprises from all over the world, from the U.S. to India, Estonia and Japan.

A handful of Latin American startups made the cut as well. With two startups on the list, Argentina has officially made its 500 Startups debut. Brazil, as expected, has made a strong showing with three.

Here’s who’s in:

Cuponomia – Brazil. A marketplace to search, discover and share online deals, coupons and discount codes.

Femeninas – Argentina. A fashion and beauty platform that helps women to create their own personal styles.

UniPay – Brazil. A mobile credit card payment platform.

Qual Canal – Brazil. A system provides broadcasters, brands and agencies with information gathered from social media conversations about television shows.

Wideo – Argentina. A do-it-yourself animated video creation platform set to launch this weekend.
