Inscriptions for the 7th edition of Desafio Brasil are set to close soon. Haven’t signed up yet? Don’t worry, you’ve still got some time. Desafio organizers have decided to extend the deadline for applications from what was originally today until Sunday, July 15th.
As we told you just a few weeks ago, Desafio Brasil is perceived as Brazil’s most comprehensive program for the promotion of early-stage technological innovation and entrepreneurship. The competition is part of the Latin American contest Desafío Intel.
Throughout the process, participants will receive mentoring and assistance, and winning projects will be awarded a wide range of prizes as well as the opportunity to move on to the international portion of the competition. Entrepreneurs will also be able to compete in Desafio’s new elevator pitch contest.
Budding entrepreneurs aren’t the only ones Desafio Brasil is reaching out to. The organization has also opened up a call for judges, mentors and investors. Professionals from private equity and venture capital ecosystems (venture capitalists, angel investors, seed capitalists) or with a background in entrepreneurship (incubators, academics, serial entrepreneurs) are welcome to apply.
Initial screening of projects that apply for Desafio Brasil will take place from July 16th to the 30th, so a lot of consolidation of the parties to be involved is sure to take place this week. Entrepreneurs should take advantage of the opportunity given with the application extension, take a chance and sign up for the challenge to see what happens.
